What's new

Jazz and Bulls are in active trade discussions regarding Zach LaVine

I think Collins is basically a 5 who can't guard 5s.

He’s a good offensive big. Collins more or less played a similar role to what he did with ATL despite playing C for us. That is obviously not the most desired archetype, but that’s a lot better than what he showed in the first half of last season.

He did a ton of his stock imo. Might need a full season of proving it, but he was way in the dumps and came out of it well.

This feels like NBA2K with the salary matching rules off.

“I think I’ll trade Rudy Gay to the Hawks for John Collins, and then flip Collins to the Bulls for LaVine and their 1st round pick. . .”

I wonder how many trades it takes to get to Giannis?

I would include Yurt and Clarkson and keep 29 and 32. We free up more cap space and could sign Paul George. Use 10, 11 to move up. Use 29 and 32 to move to 17 or 22.

And with our picks, remaining cap, Sexton we could do a deal for Jimmy Butler and we go warp speed into the playoffs with Butler, George, Lauri, Lavine plus whoever we get going with our young players.

IMO, the trade that makes the most sense is Lavine for John Collins. Idk how to feel about that tbh. I am a Lavine apologist but John Collins was also really good late last season. I’d roll with Collins.

Dumping Clarkson with Collins would provide more incentive….I still don’t know if I’d do it.
This is quite the reversal for you. I think I suggested if the price got to JCx2 for Lavine DA will get tempted and I think you thought it was a homer deal.
