Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

There is plenty for Spence to be embarrassed about obvi... won't mention his big embarrassment... but he has worn a manbun... don't tell me about embarrassing okay.
He's the one "insider" that I am absolutely sure has no inside information. I think Lopo has more sources than that guy.

RJ is the way for the Knicks to not include all of their picks. Plus signing him to a max will hinder the cap space and keeping picks helps their asset cupboard going forward. It kind of is a win-win for both teams.

They have to move him because Randal is eating all the cap space and is untradable. That part is actually kind of NOT a win for them. . .

For sure. They should attach a pick or two and try to get Westbrook from the Lakers then start Toppin.

I think this is the maximum I can conjure up for a S&T deal involving Sexton and DM. May not work with the S&T rules as Elijah laid them out, and I doubt that Cleveland would make this offer. But it's the maximum (in-the-realm-of-semi-imaginable-possibility) return that I could see coming back to us in a Cavs trade.

oops, the Stepien rule also messes things, up; although I think you could switch the years for the swaps and picks

If the Cavs offered that, you take it and run.

Yeah, probably so. And they're very unlikely to offer it.

But unlike the Knicks, who keep arguing that they can't give it all up because DM is not the piece that will vault them into the ranks of true contenders, you could say that DM does that for the Cavs.

Lol at everyone who believed we weren’t interested in Barrett. McMahon is a guy I like a lot but woof was he wrong. Same with Tony. Myself and HH were the first to push back at this nonsense.
The whole... "they have to pay them" argument is kinda silly. Yeah... you can only take on so much bad money for picks... we will have infinity cap space next couple years. Lock one of these dudes up. I don't think it takes a full max which would be 5/188. I think you can do it at 5/150-160M. It will look like a damn steal when the cap goes up by 50%... which is when guys like Grimes, Toppin, and IQ will hit FA and get properly paid.

We could also wait him out this year and match an offer later. I'd want to know what his demands were... I don't think full max is necessary.
