Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

it has been pretty obvious mitchell wanted to go to new york, he always talks about how awesome the knicks arena is and spends like all his time up there. his fam is there and thats where he wants to be. I'd fleece the knicks. Get it done.
Based on how he did in the clutch i think the NY pressure gonna be tough to deal with.

At this point, it would also be hilarious if a deal did not get done and DM came back to SLC for camp this Fall with 3 years left on his deal.
Knowing the way his camp feels about all this, and the fact that we want to tank anyway, this would be hilarious in the extreme!

Here is this morning's update from the IceColdCubano. As always, take it with a grain of salt...

Alright boys, sauces came early today!!! Hot of the presses...

1. Utah/Donovan - Miami gave their best offer yesterday during the presentation in the afternoon. They will not be leveraged anymore to one up New York's current proposal. A couple of things, my boy was actually able to scan through the actual power point presentation and was impressed. It was tailored made to showcase Herro, on the benefits to their team, contractually based on his projections vs cost, actually had algorithms and analytics based on social media impacts on his fanbase, etc, essentially some sort of algorithms of what players pulls more fans than others, kinda cool to know the team is that in depth. The team feels there is interest there for Herro from Ainge, however he is asking for way too much. In fact based on conversation with New Yorks GM, their offer is still off even though they are in the lead from anybody else on picks. Miami feels like Ainge might hold New York hostage and let this ride into the season hope they get desperate and offload everything they have to make a mid season trade. Miami is walking away at the moment unless Utah comes back and shows more interest in getting Miami back into the fold.
The idea of holding out would be New York falls massively on their face to start the season.

Imagine: Brunson goes back to being mid, RJ continues to have another stalled development year, Randle is still Julius Randle, and none of the young talent they are clinging onto can prosper around their flawed core.

NYK would be begging for Mitchell.

thats the NBA now, it's all divas and cry babies. mitchell always had a weak mental. You can see when the game is slipping away so many times he would just go down with an injury and head to the locker room. Not saying he was faking but it look suspect as ****. goes to the locker room 10x in the playoffs...and hobbles around like hes hurt, something tells me dude is just mentally weak.

I’m begging for him to be off the team now, though.

I’m still prepared to be patient if Ainge is omniscient on how this would play out if he holds out but Jesus, I am ****ing DONE with this ****ing circus.

Gimme the piss jerseys for a piss team. Would prefer that to dragging out the embarrassment of last season.

There is a lot of pressure on the Knicks' front office to get a star on board (they punted on a lottery pick for more picks to make this trade) and to make the playoffs this season. I don't think Leon Rose can afford to miss out on Mitchell. If things don't go well with Mitchell, he can still say, "I brought a star to New York. Now we'll go get another big-name free agent." That should be enough to save his job. But he can't come up empty this offseason with Brunson being his main acquisition.

Also, Brunson benefits tremendously from Luka's gravity.

God, somehow I forgot about the jerseys.
