In theory, I don't mind this thought. But Ayton has a trade veto for a year. I think there's about a 0.5% chance Ayton would authorize a trade to Utah sending Donovan out in that scenario.

So we wait 6 months hoping Phoenix decides they want to give up all of their picks in a deal to us?

How does that deal even work now? Ayton/Bridges/Mitchell to Brooklyn?

Not guaranteed to get them either.

But hey, it will be really cool for 11 months to hope we are bad enough to maybe get a top 3 pick. And so many guys will want to come to Utah since we show zero loyalty to anyone.

Look at you trying to be difficult again.

We, the Utah freaking Jazz, ran off Quin because Ainge said he was going to blow us up. Then he traded Rudy for hopefully one top 10 pick in the next 7 years but no guarantee.

Then he's going to trade Donovan for yet another load of picks unlikely to get into the top 10.

Yay - let's celebrate being a trash franchise!

Huh? Dude, the Jazz had a historic meltdown last year, have nothing to reload with, and ran out of time. Sorry, but it’s pretty simple.
