Contact lenses now are self centering though. In my experience, it's much easier to pull the bottom lid down, look up, put the contact on a less sensitive part of your eye, then look down to get the contact to rest on your eyeball. Also less chance of the contact going behind the top part of your eye which is a huge pain in the ***
