It was his inner forearm. Watch at 4:17.
He does that to everyone though
Accumulating hits to the head can lead to things like concussions, which lead to shortened careers, CTE and other cognitive disorders. Arm injuries are more short term than a ****ing brain injury.
these calls are made to reduce hits to the head, and reduce harm to its players for the overall product for fans and protecting ones business.
That angle doesn't really show it. If that's all I saw I would agree. Watching other angles from the replays on the Jazz feed it did look like it was the elbow. Probably why he has the big goose egg. Inner forearm likely wouldn't do that.
Probably more to do with being long time basketball fans, and jazz fans in particular for several years. If you watched the Malone Stockton era these new "fouls" are extremely soft by comparison. While I agree any blow to the head of neck should be a flagrant, especially with new science regarding concussion and their after effects, some fouls are ridiculous. I'd rather see a little more flow to the game and a lot less touch fouls being called. These are well conditioned professional athletes, they can play through some very minor contact. The inner circle posters here seem to really hate the Jazz getting any calls or avoiding career ending injuries. Paid propaganda , secret hate for the team, or just low IQ? Hard to tell.

No harm, no (flagrant) foul? And there are also hits to the head that do absolutely nothing to long term health, like the one to Rudy's last night.
Your guy's argument are based off of what ifs, maybes, potential, etc. I get it. However, there are still hits to the head that do absolutely nothing and you guys wanna make it into something.
Rudy's head is fine.
I mean, by definition every foul should be flagrant, right? No harm, no (flagrant) foul?
How so?I mean, by definition every foul should be flagrant, right?
