Jazz could work with Bucks

We all know that the Jazz are notorious for going about their business more quietly. This was the case before DL and it continues.

I have little doubt that these proposed deals have been leaked by Cavs people to up the offer.

The Jazz cover their bases, so I bet they already have something in place with the Bucks if the guy they want falls to the #2 spot. We don't know, but they might not like Parker at all, or maybe they like both and have been planning to work with the Bucks all along.

The Bucks have Giannis who they are very high on (rightfully so) and maybe they aren't high on Exum, so they could work with us to get Favors, the #5, & Alec Burks instead of getting a player redundant with their best prospect. They may even unload Sanders on us and I think we'd do it if that's what it took to get the guy we want.

I just think it is a very real possibility that the question marks around the top 2 guys (Parker = weight, defense, Wigg = offense, passiveness) and the fact that they have a great SF prospect might have them consider getting Favors and Burks and getting the best guy at 5 while unloading the Sanders contract will be something to seriously consider.

If you are in the "we have to get Parker or Wigg camp" don't lose hope of the Cavs are dumb enough to take the Magic deal over ours.

Is the #5, Favs, Burks and taking on Larry sanders too much?

I don't think it's too much. I'd do it.

Favors, Burks and #5 is a lot to pay for the number 2. I guess I have not bought into the superstardom of all these players.

Agreed, too much for parker whos more likely to be there at two as it sounds like parker didnt exactly nail his workout with the cavs, id rather flip another protected pick than give up both Favors and burks plus #5 for 2 and sanders

I am kind of entering a Wiggins or Gordon phase.

But I am completely uninformed and pull 90% of my draft opinion form here so what the hell do I know.

I think what you are saying has merit, but I am not a big fan of Sanders. He is a head case. How will he effect the chemistry in the locker room? I don't think there is that much difference between the top 3 guys and the guys between 4-8 to give up two guys who have proven that they are good NBA players with still untapped potential. Yes it is too much.

Those are the two guys I want too. No one really knows who will be the best even the experts. That is why the wrong guys are picked sometimes.

I swing each day who I want depending on who I just listened to. Truth is, I have no frig'n idea, and every time I think I may have an idea, I remind myself I wanted Derrick Williams in '11.

If someone put a gun to my head and forced me to choose, I go with Smart. But, really, what the hell do I know?

I got cold feet about Derrick Williams leading up to the draft but thought he was really intriguing. His skillset/physical profile made me concerned he'd be a Ryan Gomes type and might not ever be better than Millsap.

Anyway, if the Jazz are willing to trade so much stuff to get to #1 and they really aren't sure who they like more, then I see no obvious reason the offer should change with the Bucks. Unfortunately, I see two huge reasons less that the Bucks trade down as they don't already have Kyrie Irving and they aren't wasting their time with the Lebron fantasy.

Bucks want to move up, not down. Nothing short of a blowout package is going to land either Wuggs or Jabari. I'm talking 5, 23, Favors, Burke, GS 2017, and our 2016 unprotected.

Nobody is passing up a guaranteed All Star (Jabari) or a guy with the talent skillset to possibly be in the GOAT convo 15 years from now for a bunch of maybes and roster filler.

Bloody freakin' ****! You're giving up THREE starters AND allowing them to dump their Pothead on us for Jabba Parker?

Just back away from the buffet line and say no to Jabba. I'd seriously draft Embiid before Parker. This is the MOST IMPORTANT period of his life and he's gone on an eating binge since the end of the college season. Forget the comparisons to Carmelo; this guy's career could mirror Oliver Miller's.

Is this your new drama thingy? Yawn.

I'll bet the farm on Jabari, look at FA.

The more I think of it I also really dont know enough about all the prospects wish i did, so im now ok if we stay 5 and turn it into Gordon.

Dude its ridiculous to say anyone in this draft is guaranteed to be an all-star. They have such a long way to go. Parker AS OF RIGHT NOW is not quick enough to get by his man consistently. Not quick enough yet. Horrible defense.
Wiggins can't finish at the rim. Low percentage for someone athletic as him. Most guys coming out don't have that problem. He does. His outside shot I am not worried about. Just need more experience.
I like both. but its ridiculous to say they are guaranteed to be all-stars, when they both have serious flaws that usually the stars don't have coming out.

Long way to go. I hope we trade up as long as we don't include burks though.

Yep, I'm the drama queen.
I've seen Parker play and he's no Carmelo. We'd be giving up a #3, #5 and #12 and committing ourselves to a suspension-waiting-to-happen in Sanders. You could argue Favors is less than a #3 pick. But the #5 is likely Gordon or Vonleh. Those are potential all-stars. And Burks is one of the top 6th men in the league (or a starter). Awful lot to give up for a guy that has no defined position and has put on 15 lbs since the combine, making him even slower than he was. There is absolutely ZERO reason for Cleveland to lie about him looking "sluggish." Everyone knows he's not going to drop to 4 or 5, which are the trades teh Cavs were reportedly considering.

Pretty vanilla.

The worst that happens is you take a chance at being great and fail. Don't take that chance and you're stuck right back in Middle Hell. Besides, the Jabari defense line is the most overused line of this draft process. He's too small to guard the 4's and 5's he was put on. He will guard well enough in his very first season.

Still cannot wrap your mind around a 25 win squad eh? Yeah, these guys are the untouchables you're making them out to be.
