Jazz Defensive rankings

Would you trade Burks, Hood, OKC 1st, our own 2016 1st and maybe a protected 2018 1st for George?

No question. I'm convinced Hood is going to be a scorer, and a good one in this league, but that's a trade that DL should make 10/10. Imagine the lengeth of Exum, Hayward, George, Favors, Gobert. You'd be going in the complete opposite direction of the league with small ball and I think that it would work.

At least 3 max players and the other two may not be far behind. Could we keep that group long term? It would be an amazing starting line up.

After tonights games...

Jazz now also rank #1 in Opponent FG%: 37.2%
Minnesota fell out of the top spot in their loss to Portland.

That lineup would probably be the best defensive lineup ever.

How does this make the ONE stat I pointed out any more useful?
I was mostly responding to your qualifier. The original stat doesn't only look good because the offense has been weak (which you overstate repeatedly); the defense has been very good.

Yes.

Assuming he gets back to form, he'd be the closest thing we would have to a go to scorer--something I still think we'll need to win a Championship. It will have to be addressed at some point. Right now, our best bet at a title is to do it in the same fashion as the 04 Pistons, which is possible, but I'd feel safer if we could add a go to guy to our stellar defense.

Not so sure that he would be a go to scorer any more than hayward, hood, or burks. I just looked up his numbers (scoring average, free throw attempts, field goal percentage, three point percentage, free throw percentage). Not sure he is much, if any, better than our own wing scorers.

It's fun to dream but they are not going to give up on PG. I think they continue to try and build around him. They have him under contract for 2 more years after this one.

If we did a deal I'd try to retain Burks (a win now piece) Hood would have to be in the deal from their side. I'd send Lyles, Hood, draft picks (we have all of ours, GSW 2017, and OKC 2018)

I actually think the case with Hayward v George is legitimate. Hayward has a little more playmaking while George is a better defender. As far as George v Burks, no question George is better go to scorer and 100x better all around player. Jury is still somewhat out on Hood but he does look very promising as somebody that could be the "go-to" scorer we need.

If you could field a lineup where Hayward was your weakest defender, It almost wouldn't matter how weak your offense was. Unless the other team could can 35 foot three pointers at a high rate, they are going to lose.

No!! First I think it's a it's somewhat over exaggerated that PG is a superstar. Not sure he's even better then Hayward. Hood, Burks + assets > George. Had Hayward Ben drafted by Indiana and PG by Utah Hayward might have been the allstar.
