What's new

Jazz @ Heat | November 9th @ 5:30pm

Fess, on the radio, just said he went runnin to be pulled from the last play: "They are gunna foul, and I not too sure I can make 2 free throws, like Frank."

That sounds like a frank acknowledgment of his own limitations. I'd prefer that to the guy who insists on playing and then loses the game.

To be honest, Fes had played a lot of consecutive minutes to that point anyway. I wouldn't be shocked if he was a little gassed. Sloan, however, read the situation correctly and saw that Fes was making a big difference in the Jazz getting stops.

So what's your excuse going to be when Fes finally subs in and the Jazz still look like garbage? I know somehow it's still going to be Jerry's fault, I'm just curious as to how.

Fes came in, and the entire tone of the game changed. I hope you can admit that.

LeBron aint no Paperboy, that's fo sho. In their 3 losses, he has taken one shot in the last two minutes.

With Fess helping out with defense in the paint, it makes slashers like Lebron and Wade hesitate, and it means that the defender can guard the shot rather than the drive. It makes a difference. Fess either makes the slasher finish a tougher shot or make a tough pass in traffic. Plus he can actually box someone out on the rebound.

Not to mention he generally bruises you when he fouls, it takes its toll.

I hope this means more playing time on the road trip, and beyond for Fes. We need to make a commitment to his playing time. Sap + Fes is a combo that works.
