Spence Checketts on 1280 said a few minutes ago that there is some speculation that instead of the jazz giving Dallas the trade exception, they might replace that with Devin Harris.

Locke was on earlier saying that the Harris to Dallas option had been discussed, but Dallas still thinks it can get Deron so it was pulled.

Harris for Williams is pretty even or Harris being slightly better.

No, it is not Harris for Williams. According to Locke the Jazz offered Harris, Dallas considered Harris, Dallas said no. Deal went back to the exception.

I actually like that because it puts jazz in a better position to ask for assetts/compensation for facilitating the deal.
