So this guy Ian Clark is one of the most prolific scorers in all of college basketball, but since he is only 6'3 and went to some little school he goes undrafted. Undaunted he goes and dominates both summer leagues, gets summer league MVP and gets signed by Utah because they give him a guaranteed year and they have room on the roster.
It must be remembered though, he's a 2, not a 1. Sure, in a pinch he might be able to play a little 'Foye' style 1, but he's a 2. Unlike Lucas who is a scoring point guard.
Point takenI wouldn't call him a scorer. He only got to the FT line twice a game in a ****ty conference. He is a prolific shooter.
When your career FG% is below 40, you can't really call yourself a scoring guard, more like a missing guard.
As long as Clark has a tight handle he play PG. He should be able to guard NBA PGs.
Isn't Clark an SG exclusively? This is rather worrisome when you take the playing time stipulation rumoured to be in the contract into account, seeing as we already have two SGs deserving of minutes in BRush and Alec Burks.
As a jazz fan named Ian Clark I approve of this signing
There is no possible way there is any sort of playing time stipulation in his contract. Would neg rep you if I gave neg rep for that type of thing. Sheesh.

Yall are missin the obvious concern... would Ian re-sign with Utah?
