For 20/21 it was 121 if you would consider Samanic the C and 133 if you consider Gay the C when they are on the court together.

Bball-Index estimates Gay guarded C's for 13.2% of his minutes (about 180).

Personally, I think he's fine guarding C's. But the problem is our defensive strategy is to be swiss cheese on the perimeter and have the big cover everything up. Obviously Gay can't do that. Maybe playing him at the 5 will force Quin to change defensive habits because the 4 statue defense doesn't get better if it's 5 statues. I've been saying that this is more important than any personnel change.

If Quin backs into playing a more versatile defense because he wants Gay to play 5, this move is A+++++++++.
