Jazz Starters: Harris, Hayward, Bell, Favors, Jefferson

Two things

1. How can I take my own advice? I am not paid millions of dollars and I am not complaining about my job. If my boss tells me to do something I do it. Pay is the same

2. I noted in another post that I singled out Milsap and I did not mean to. The comment you quoted was mean to be a general statement. Athletes should shut up and play instead of taking complaints public. Like all the crap that Detroit went thru last year.

If a reporter came to you and asked how you felt about your demotion would you say you were good with it and had no complaints, or would you express disappointment, comparing your job to Millsaps job is dumb, and completely different situations. He is in the spotlight you aren't.

Nothing he said will damage the team. All he did was express his disappoint in not starting. He didn't call out his coach or any players owners or anything! All he said was he worked hard and is disappointed in not starting. He also said he agrees with Ty's choice and said he would do what's best for the team. Sounds like a team player to me.

I assume Hayward gets World Peace and Bell on Kobe. Maybe Hayward will play both 2 & 3.

Peace hasn't started the first 2 games. Hayward gets Ebanks. But on the other end, Kobe will undoubtedly switch to guard Hayward whenever he can.

Naturally I'd like to have Millsap on the team; but if he wants out; that's fine too. He is a highly sort after player with a great contract to production ratio.

Jazz could get talent back for him.

I don't really care if Bell starts; but if he plays more than 14-16mpg, that's a problem.

Assume that Hayward gets Ebanks first, unless Ebanks (probable; sore extremity) is benched.

Now that Utah has announced its lineup, though, maybe the Lakers will start World Peace instead, if they recognize the WP might be a more interesting matchup on Hayward/Bell.

If MWP is 'promoted' to starter, I support the notion of bringing Millsap as soon as Bell or Hayward gets burned.

I was just speaking in general.

I haven't read his comments - I don't really care. I'm sure he'll be professional about it when it comes to game time. He deserves that much credit.

Miles and Millsap will be our instant offense off the bench. Bell isn't a lock for the 4th quarter. Millsap is going to struggle to get time over Favors, but there should be enough minutes for everyone. I can't wait to see if Millsap has expanded his game.

Millsap is a transparent guy, and he's just speaking what his immediate feelings are. We can sit back and chime in since we have no real emotional stock. Because he's been constantly underrated, he has a bit of under-appreciation anxiety and receives his own personal substantiation when there are no question-marks as to his higher status/ranking. It would be nice if he could respond like Manu has over the years since it seems obvious, with our young and inexperienced bench, that he will be invaluable to that second unit. Hopefully his confidence improves. Everyone loves Paul; hopefully he comes to terms with it, and hopefully Favors shines.

What a stupid starting line up! Paul should be upset. He does deserve to start either at the 3 or over al Jefferson. The problem with our team last year was al Jefferson. Not Paul. Paul Millsap is a far better player than Al. Why is it so hard for everyone to see that al sucks. He can't play in a team concept. He plays for his own shot. Paul Millsap should have some kind of credits in the bank. He has proven that he can play and win. And he has given everything to this organization. Al Jefferson has done nothing in this league. He's never led any team anywhere.

Also what the hell is bell starting for? Hayward should be on kobe. We all saw what he can do. Bell is so bad. I can't believe he got the nod. Watch how bad we look when the starters are in there. We are lucky we are getting the lakers on a tri-back. But I still don't think it will be enough for us. I guarantee this line up will not stay the same. Its going to be horrible.

Oh well, this is what I want this year anyways. I want to be in the lottery. I just can't believe that the coaching staff is that stupid. Unless there is a different reason for the starts. Like we are trying to pump up the value of al and bell so we can make a trade and they actually want to be in the lottery. That is what I would be doing. But I doubt that is what they are trying to accomplish.

I guarantee we will suck with that starting line up. Unless Favors and Hayward goes off in all star fashion and carry the team. ( doubt it, too young,not this year)
I'm calling it though, we will suck bad with this line up.
