Jazz to actively pursue Paul Millsap this offseason, per Spencer Checketts

Oh man. I love Paul and would love to see him back. But he likes playing the 4 and probably doesn't wanna come off the bench. I don't blame him. As much as I like him, he's better off where he is.

Tell us more about all his "connections" then. What Jazz-related rumors has he been the first to leak in the past that ended up being true?

Let me just pull out my spread sheet that keeps track of that kind of thing. Give me a break.

Spencer has connections to the Jazz and upper management/ownership that no other media member in the world has.

If he's willing to come off the bench in a Booker type role, as a rich man's Booker, I'm fine with it. Just can't imagine him being willing to do that.

And despite all of his amazing connections, I still can't seem to find a single rumor that Checketts was actually correct about. Pretty easy to find rumors he was wrong about though.

Can't really see Sap going from a 60 win team starter to 30-40 win team bench player. That said, Sap is an all star, and it would be a huge haul to get him here before salaries skyrocket.
Maybe Quin thinks he can make it work with Sap at SF part time.

Most rumors like "Jazz are interested" or "Jazz are going to pursue" can't really be proven wrong or false.

The point, Cy, isn't that Checketts was wrong. It's that he has never been in the loop on any moves the Jazz actually made. His only track record to go off of are a lot of rumors that never ended up happening.

Given that, I'm not really sure how you can criticize someone for being skeptical of the latest Checketts rumor, especially when it makes virtually no sense.
