Jazz trade John collins

I guess the case for Giddey is twofold:

1. Big play makers who can survive on d are required to compete at the highest level.

2. You are assuming Giddey will shoot 50 percent from the field for the next 4 years.

Also open question who is Giddey the best at guarding? Is he automatically your worst defender on a good team?

CHI is not gonna let Giddey walk easily, that’s for sure. You’re probably going to have to give something up and give him the bag.

The Jazz can probably extract a first from the Mavs to absorb Klay's contract at the deadline and if they do, this is a pretty fantastic deal after thinking about it.

Gotta make sure to rip off their awful owners though.

Now that we’ve reached the end of the John Collins experiment: WOW! What a waste of time! We could’ve thrown the bag at Austin Reaves and either gotten him or smacked LA, but we did this and were rewarded with nothing in the net (we sent a 2nd to get him). I wish someone would’ve had the forethought on this and gone on and on about how dumb this whole thing was in like 30 posts.

The only thing that could’ve salvaged this is if we renegotiated and extended him on a cheap deal (and traded Lauri’s gaudy contract).

To be clear, though: yeah, this deal is fine. It’s another sobering one, but we’re finally doing it right three years later.

Im not smart enough to know all the rules regarding S&T's, but I would give up Collier/Sensabaugh to make it work.
Chicago is S tier stupid, we should be figuring out deals with them.

I’m not high on Giddey, though. Maybe they’d be excited about Cody for Buzelis lol
