Jazz v. Sixers!! pre-season game

I honestly want to see what a line-up would look like with Conley, Mitchell, Ingles, Gobert and... Brantley.

Brantley defends. He rebounds. He uses his wide body to drive. And he can pass. He's different from a lot of other bigs in that he can handle, change directions and use some subtle timing. I think he could still get a little leaner and get above the rim more, but he's got a nice all-around game. He plays with some swagger.

If he can knock down some shots, I might like him more than Niang, tbh.

Went for 18 pt and 10 reb. I'll leave a limited amount of seats on the wagon for some of you.

Defenders have to keep a body on him, or he'll walk up right next to the rim and plant himself there. What he showed tonight is how well he can catch the ball on the move and finish with one motion. And yeah, he's a load to keep off the boards, a bit like Kanter. As long as he doesn't get cooked on defense, he's playable.

Am I the only one impressed by Eric Griffin? If you ask me, I think the Jazz should sign him. I was surprised he didn't make the team two years ago. Does anyone know why the Jazz passed on him?

I was impressed with Brantley's passing. Aussie NBL team or not, some of his passes were great.

Griffin was good, but he wasn't even the best player on his team. That's why the Jazz and every other NBA team passed on him.

Lacked jazz dna.
I looked him up on Wikipedia. If you read between the lines, it sounds like he has some character issues. He's been with more teams than anyone I've ever seen. Sometimes he only spent a couple of games with a team. He must be a headcase. Too bad because the guy has talent. I noticed wherever he's played, he's been a great shot blocker and that was in evidence tonight. Wonder why some team has not tried to develop him.
