We gave up all of our toughness to get Conley. All of it.

That's not really fair to say. There was some sentiment that Gobert and Faves couldn't coexist in the paint. I was totally against letting Faves go as he was tough, a great interior defender and probably the best backup center in the league. Did we overpay for Conley? I think it's fairly obvious that maybe an undersized point guard wasn't really the total answer to our woes, but I'd still take him over Rubio.

How the hell have we won 36 games?

when we played a list of **** teams that didn't know how to play proper small ball. until Hou and the master of mike D'Antoni teaches them how. had teams figured out sooner that we couldn't guard a chair on the perimeter and the fact that they could simply neutralize Rudy by switching to small-ball lineup every time, we are probably looking at a 36 win season, not 36 win prior to AS break.
