People going off Clarksons box score lol. He easily got hacked on 3 of those attempts and did not get a call.

Please watch the game before making a judgement off someones game. He also literally just came in with 0 coaching before hand.

Or maybe people going off 7 years of data for Clarkson. Could be that too
Also, you made excuses for his poor shooting. Fair enough. Would he have had more assists and rebounds if not for the refs too? Did he jack up shots cause the refs made him? Or is that maybe who he is?

In regards to the first game thing though..... He has been in the league for a long time and what he has been is an inefficient chucker who doesn't get to the line, rebound, or pass and turns it over too much

Maybe quin will magically change him or will just simply not care that he plays that way but that's kinda of who has been.

Again, for their careers Burks has been the better scorer (on less shots), rebounder, passer, and had less turnovers. And many people (including quin) hated Burks game.

Look up their per 36. Clarkson scores more points, shoots more threes, has more assists, has a better TS% and have equivalent turnovers. Burks has him best in rebounds. Now, I’m not making any argument here other than showing where they are in stat comparison. My guess is that Burks doesn’t have near as much gravity as he’s not known to pull up from anywhere and at any point. Not saying that’s good or bad, but it does change the defense.

I always believed that Quinn had a problem with rookies/Young guys, but then Donovan happened and in a couple months was our number one option so it is probably not it.

Hopefully Quinn has changed some after watching what Kerr (a Hall of Fame Coach) is getting out of him in Golden State. It used to drive me crazy to have all that fire power sitting on the bench wasted. Still, I think it's valid to say that both Burks and Clarkson have turned a corner in their careers.

No, that’s all career numbers... and the fact that his numbers this year are that much better is just gravy.

Nobody seems to be talking about it but I was impressed with Clarkson's defense as much as anything. Nobody was able to go off on him or get by him that I could tell. No boards, but he did have a steal and only one TO in twenty minutes, which is not bad for all the navigating he did on a new foreign team.

I thought I was looking at per 36 but I must have been getting mixed up. My bad. Burks has him in rebounds, turnovers, and getting to the line and 3 point percentage. Clarkson also takes over 3 more shots per 36 and I'm guessing has a higher usage. And Clarkson gets paid about 11 million more.

My main point though is that they are very similar players so if ya hated Burks then you will probably hate Clarkson.

Burks was always one of my favorite players was always appreciative of what he brought to the team. He had his imperfections but then everyone but 5-6 players have imperfections in their games.
