Jazzfanz spilling the love for Corbin last night!!!

"I love how Hayward has developed into a distributor. 8 assists!" Ty, thank you so much for bringing Hayward along all last season when he couldn't run the pnr worth crap. Thank you for sticking by his side and instilling confidence in him. Your leadership has obviously paid off!

"I love the offense last night. So much more movement!" Thank you Ty for having the patience with these young guys and not scrapping Sloan's flex system like every other spineless organization would have. You're obviously a master of Sloan's system, and have some nice new wrinkles of your own.

"I love the rotation moves with Evans, and dare I say it even bringing in Biedrins for some short burn." Corbin really game planned minutes to perfection. Well rounded scoring too -- 101 points with a scoring high of only 16, and 6 players in double figures.

"I love this defense!" Corbin has gotten this team to buy into his system. They're making perfect rotation help plays and hustling all game long. Thank you, Ty, you are a genius.

"I love how Burks is playing." Isn't it great that Corbin brought him along slowly and taught him how to play instead of letting him bust early like most organizations would have?

If Burks does well, it's a testament to Corbin's plan to bring him along slowly and that it works.
If Burks does poorly, it's a testament to Corbin's intelligence to not play a bust over proven vets.
If Burks does average, it's a testament to Corbin's rational approach to use him when appropriate.

Last night was encouraging, I'll admit. I do HOPE Corbin will show some coaching skill this season, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. It's one game, and it's pre-season.

That said, the ball movement looked pretty good. I certainly won't miss watching the Al-fense of the last few years.

I didn't like Brickins over Gobert. Jefferson over Burks was fine as Burks got good burn.

This.
Last year kanter, favors, burks all sucked and were clearly not ready for big roles/minutes.
Now they are ready and look great, but not because they have had talent all along (hence thier high draft picks) its all due to the genius of corbin.
End of sarcasm.

Having said all that, he did have his guys ready to play so you have to give him credit there.

I hated how last year the starters/vet would be lazy and giving no effort without any repurcussion.... then the youth would come in and bust thier butts without any reward.

Last night it seemed like he rewarded guys who played well (evans, burks, lucas)

It is also said that they came into camp in great shape. But yes Corbin had them tuned in. Corbin shafted Kanter and Burks hard last season. No way to spin that.

I was encouraged by what I saw last night. This year is as much about seeing what Corbin has as it is the youth. Last night was an all around good start.

Clearly Alex Jensen is already the man behind the Corbin/curtain.

Maybe Brad Jones?

Don't want to overreact after one preseason game, but I like what I saw from the coaching staff. It looked less chaotic on the sidelines. It also looks like Brad Jones has been more or less assigned to be Trey's personal mentor--I like that.

Jazz need to play a close game to see if Corbin & company really have improved.

Corbin, Corbin, Corbin!!!

I saw a neighborhood kid in a really nice looking suit this morning, and asked what's up... said he's practicing, going to dress up like Corbin for Halloween.

Oh how the tides have changed, fickle, fickle fans.

I'm sure the goodwill toward Corbin will last until Friday, when he starts Lucas III over Burke.

It will last until the start of the season. See last preseason.

One good PRESEASON game by the Jazz and suddenly Corbin is a genius...nevermind the prior 180+ games where he looked completely lost on the sideline. Jazzfanz are so forgiving.

Clearly a decent performance against a VERY disinterested visiting team in our first pre-season game of the year proves beyond any reasonable doubt that Corbin has all along been the second coming of Sloan, Pop, and Jackson all squished into one quivering mass.

Clearly.

a ray of hope in the irksome dynasty of despair and despondency. . . .

Dude, Go Bear almost fouled out like 10 minutes... clearly needs some getting used to the NBA game. Also, Biedrins didn't play too badly. It does suck that we are playing another player that will be gone next offseason.
