...but the question was "why is the USA interested in Israel" not the other way around! The USA spends billions of dollars protecting a country that gives the USA nothing back! I know EXACTLY what the reason is....but I'm waiting for your comments/observations!

been studying Book of Mormon/anti=Mormon arguments too much. Genetics is in that realm the definition of "race". Genocidal "Lamanites" completely wiped out the white "Nephites" just 1000 years after the genetic mutation supposedly imposed by God as a judgment against the rebellious "Lamanites". Mormon "defenders of the faith" have found actual real scientific results which show the Algonquin associated tribes do have a marker that comes from the Levant and is still prominent in the Druize. . . who are a religious group who have long held strong views against marrying outside their race. . . . held to be the prototype of the ancient inhabitants of Israel/Jordan.

There is, currently, a number of hot-button raging internet wars on who are Jews and who are not, which also has a high incidents of invocations of genetics. Khazars are held to not be real "Jews" because they were a convert group who adopted the faith of the real Jews.

You are right because of the statistical realities that some genetic lines are always fading into oblivion while new "gene pool members" can substantially alter the original genetic character over a few hundred years.

I think it reasonably certain that there were many migrations or conversions bringing new genetics into the Israelite/Jewish "race" over thousands of years.

Just to get your goat, when I was in Israel I thought that the arab minority seemed more "Jewish" than the Ethiopian "Jews". Palestinians probably have more actual "Jewish" genetics, defined by the gene pool that existed in Israel in 30 AD than the Jews who are claiming the land.
