Jimmer Video at Pacers Workout

I'm going to predict the Jimmer wins the three point shootout and sets a record

James Jones claims to have once hit 113 consecutive three pointers in practice.

I suspect among NBA shooting guards, 15 threes in a row when totally unguarded and with no crowd isn't totally atypical.

I'm telling you, if Jimmer is there at 12, and we didnt take a guard at 3, KOC takes him. No doubt at all. Pretty much has to. The only way he can get out of it is to trade down and hope he is gone.

I can't wait to see Jimmer bust out the patented Chuck Norris roundhouse kick shot in a game.
That will be awesome!

I bet Jimmer was fine with 15 in a row, but I'm sure he's done better.
Yes it was practice, but it was also after an intense workout, and there was pressure there.
You have NBA team guys watching and evaluating everything you do and you think that is the same as practice for a team you are already part of with no pressure at all? Totally different, but only half as much pressure as a real game shot if that...... but you can't say no pressure.

If this was Leonard, or Singleton, or Burks. Maybe. We all know Jimmer can shoot. Nobody should be surprised he hit 15 in a row. If he made half of those shots, we still know he can shoot.

Hornacek really never made 30 in a row??? I'm surprised, I read and article today that said something like James Jones has made 100+ in a row in practice before.

Sure...

If this were Knight or Kanter, I wonder if the same folks saying "Meh" would still be so disinterested?

He's having some good workouts, the Knicks and Pacers were impressed, experts believe he'll be a solid NBA contributor. If he had sucked in these workouts, would these same folks on this board still be "Meh?" Or would they be making light of the situation?

haters are gonna hate

If Knight or Kanter hit that many consecutive 3's in a workout I think it would be a bigger deal because they are not known as 3 point shooters and certainly not considered to be on Jimmer's level in that area. Are you really drawing that comparison without realizing this?

The fact of the matter is, Jimmer is SUPPOSED to perform like that when shooting unguarded 3's because that's far and away his bread and butter heading into this draft. And yes, if Jimmer was struggling (shooting wise) at workouts, people would be jumping all over him and they'd be right to do so. Considering that he's thought of by most as the best shooter in the draft, poor shooting drills would warrant valid criticism.

Sometimes I wonder if you are actually serious with the type of arguments you present, and then I remember that you're Thriller and horrible arguments are your forte.

I once made 12 college 3's in a row. That is my personal record. Then I ****ed it up by saying I made 12 in a row, and I missed the 13th. TRUE STORY

This is my thought process as well. Once all the recruits started going back to college, Jimmer became more and more a realistic pick this high. Singleton and Morris also fill a need though, if they blow away KOC in workouts they have a small chance to unseat Jimmer. My guess is we all will be wearing Jimmer jerseys this time next year. :p

Workouts mean nothing compared to gaMES. Hel leven jamracus russel impressed in 1 on 1 workouts. Ill take game over workout al lday

So if half of the Jazzfanz board can hit 10-20 in a row, and the expectation is that NBA shooters drop anywhere from 20 to 113 in a row, then this Nolan Smith character must be an absolute joke based on this video.

The more impressive thing above the 15 in a row was that they were shot after a hour and 15 minutes of hard workouts.

I think teams are looking more at form and mechanic consistency rather than makes/misses.

Let's see, I made 19 college 3's in a row. It's always that last group that gets you. I think I ended up with 21 out of 25, something like that. I noticed Jimmer had that same issue on that last group. Jumping the same way that many times seems to tire and bore your muscles. :) heh
