Joe Ingles Appreciation Thread

I used to hate Ingles when he first landed with the Jazz. But I gotta say, he's proven to be a very smart player and clearly he can shoot the lights out in a gym. Sometimes I do wish he'd shoot more though, he gives up too many good looks in my opinion.

Patience and reason are always key when considering a player new to the team.

I wouldn't want to pay more than $6-8mil/yr.

Apparently a 'glue' guy in the locker room, so who knows what price the FO places on that...

Chandler ****ing Parsons stands to earn 23 million next season. He's one year younger than Joe in terms of actual age and about 10 years older in terms of the shape his body is in. Putting up similar numbers to Joe on pathetic efficiency.

I appreciate Jingles, in fact I'd gladly let him adopt me into his cute little family, take me on vacation to beautiful Australia so I can spot a Hemsworth, and I'll even tolerate his dad jokes. He's the dad I've never had, but always wanted.

Ingles will get 8-12 per year... he's restricted and the market is much tighter this year than last. Middle market guys won't get as much though there will be an outlier here and there.

We are better on the floor with Ingles in the starting lineup than Hood. He's the perfect in between wing on offense, either shoots the three or makes the right pass/drive decision, and now that he playing great defense he's quite the asset.

Also he's a straight badass who will cut you... can't underate that.
Wow, I didn't realize Ingles was restricted.

It is correct, but I can't tell you why either. He's on his second NBA deal... some weird quirk, but I'm glad it is true.

He's more than a glue guy imo... one of the best three point shooters in the league who also does all the "glue guy" stuff and is an good defender. He's more valuable than AB going forward... His floor game and BBIQ separate the two by a wide margin.

Also he's possibly the most likeable guy on the team... that matters... GSW are suffering a bit because of some strong personalities that wear on their teammates.

I'm bringing the love to Mr. Ingles because he set the tone. In the post game press conference, Joe Ingles was the first player mentioned by name by Coach Rivers and with good reason. He was so physical in game 1. He brought that Ingles toughness to another level. The seats George and I had were great so it was easy to see the action. Joe came correct and it did not go unnoticed.
