JR is just being a drama queen. If racism were rampant at games reporters would be all over the area with mics because they would get mad traffic. Reporting racism=instant attention. I have only heard two white guys say the n word in my entire life in Utah. I have always had black neighbors both in Utah and in Vegas. I have never witnessed them being subject to racist remarks. If we believe all the reports in this thread, it happens at 0.5% of Jazz games.
Contrast this comment with Dwill saying UT is better than NYC for families. Would he really say that if there were rampant hate everywhere?

I'm not saying that there is no racism, I'm just saying I have only heard two people tell bad jokes and never witnessed a black person receive racist remarks. The tiny percentage of the population that is racist are too big of cowards to put it out in public, because they know how much the rest of the world disagrees with them.
The response to this thread is proof of how frustrated we get to be stereotyped and judged.
I don't disagree, but JR is reaffirming in the rest of the league's mind a false perception of Jazz fans, giving people the impression that this is commonplace. It becomes another useless factoid propping up the "dude, everyone knows Jazz fans are classless racists" notion and then usually couple that with a reference to Derek Fisher.
