Two and a half point underdogs. I know I'd feel a lot better if Bogey was available - also nobody plays Rudy like Faves. Cautiously optimistic.
Also, I noticed KUTV shared a story on their news page on Facebook about it, and I’m guessing that’s where a lot of the idiots infiltrating the comment sections came from tbh.Man, the jazz Facebook page is the worst. So many people pissed off about the jazz players predicted kneeling.
One good thing about all this protest is that people are actually excited to watch the freaking anthem to see what's going to happen lol.
Nobody cared about it before. No one watched the anthem at home and the people at the games would robotically stand. Now it's getting tons of attention!

It’s okay to be an idiot but it ain’t okay to stay one.I think most of us are guilty of this. I know I was. Kap doing what he did made me look at these things and opened up my eyes. The measure of a man is what they do with knowledge they receive.
Really.... I’d have thought even or slight favorites. People betting on Zion. Rudy hopefully goes out there with something to prove. Two and a half point underdogs. I know I'd feel a lot better if Bogey was available - also nobody plays Rudy like Faves. Cautiously optimistic.
No one would give a ****. The controversy creates the visibility.Kap deserves nothing. He only started this nonsense when he lost his starting gig to Blaine Gabbert and his BLM girlfriend started getting in his ear.
Also, why do this during the anthem at all? Why not before that during pregame or even post game take a knee in solidarity and just leave the anthem out of it? Would probably be a lot more accepted and the message that is trying to be conveyed wouldn't be lost in controversy.
You do realize he did this while starting as well, right? When did a song or piece of material become more important than the lives and freedom of Americans? In the end it doesn’t matter who he is or why he did what he did. If it sheds light on what’s going on, that’s all that matters. The only thing I know for sure is that Kap isn’t the only flawed human being. This means you have to also make light of what MLK did, Ali, and othersKap deserves nothing. He only started this nonsense when he lost his starting gig to Blaine Gabbert and his BLM girlfriend started getting in his ear.
My goodness, are you ill-informed and out-of-touch on everything?Kap deserves nothing. He only started this nonsense when he lost his starting gig to Blaine Gabbert and his BLM girlfriend started getting in his ear.

Rich irony, per ****ing usualBut for real, if you don’t have an IG or Facebook, make one by tomorrow and go show some love and support both on the teams page and our guys posts when they post! Even if it’s just anonymous IG or whatever. I know there’ll be idiots in the comments. Social media always ensures there is.

What? How does the military pay them to play? The military pays them to play it.
Or do the anthem prior to the players taking the court.

Yeah, no man should ever listen to a woman.
*Sarcasm*
Same in Latin America. Only in games between national teams, and in few sports. It's a US thing. In general in Europe anthems are played only if it's national teams playing. Which makes much more sense to me. In no league will you hear an anthem before a game unless it happens that the game is played on some national celebration day which may happen like once per year.
Were you blocked by Rudy on Twitter? Or was someone else on JFC? Can't remember.Anyone here who has an IG, Twitter, or Facebook, be sure to drop supportive comments on all those on the Jazz and guys social medias. It's important to show support to them!
I put this thread out there as well:
Some great articles/messages ahead of game 1 return!
So figured I'd throw this thread up before game 1 tomorrow. Excited to have basketball back, excited to have the Jazz back. Excited we get back to games that actually matter. So here's the message before game 1. Be supportive. And even go leave a message of support on social media posts by the...jazzfanz.com
They give them money and the leagues play the song to promote patriotism, which in turn promotes people joining the military. What? How does the military pay them to play?
He;s ****ing kneeling, the symbol of respect. It's bad actors such as yourself who make it about something that it's not.Yes. Anything to not distract from the actual message because it is getting lost in the argument over patriotism by doing it during the anthem.
I really think it would be more effective if they found a way to separate the two.
I’m “working from home”. We need this... I hope to hell 2020 doesn’t eff it up.I checked the schedule of a lot of the upcoming games. It looks like we have some early games such as 10:30 or 11:00 AM. Also, games will be running back-to-back all day. It's going to be similar to the NCAA tournament with television viewing. Kind of cool.
