What's new

just gonna lob this out there

Tbh, I'm ready to semi blow the team up. It just doesn't feel like we have the true building blocks for a contender and as much as everyone will simply accuse me of loving the draft process and throw out stupid jabs re: the Sixers, etc.. the mountain of draft picks is our way UP. Whether through parlaying to a HIGH '17 pick, or giving them up for a kick *** veteran. I guess what I am saying is our picks have more value than our players to build/re-build the team.

This next line is only for anyone that cares to bash my post. Who are we building around?

I've been there since the start of last season. The blow up was typical Jazz style half-assed.

Those hoping on Exum have brighter eyes than pretty much any Jazz hope in the past. Alec Burks showed 10x more potential early on, and look at where he is. Exum isn't the key to anything.

Let yourselves down slowly now, I'm never wrong.

I would do it, but I don't think Portland would.

I do think Lillard is that good though.

Interesting. Why don't you take a neutral position on the stuff I bring up instead of polluting it with your opinion? It's because you are a clueless idiot who takes pleasure in arguing, fighting, etc.. Then you are too scared to come up with your own ideas. You are a waffler.

You are weak bruh.

^says the person to the guy who started the thread. You don't even know what an idea is, do you?

Portland doesn't do it-- more importantly, I think what we have with Hayward/Favors/Gobert/Lyles is pretty special.

I think snagging a Conley or Teague-type of player, while keeping the core intact would make for a better team than this trade.

I don't think Rudy alone is good enough to make us a top 5 Defensive team, which is 100% the key to our relevance. It has always been the combination of Fav & Rudy at the 4 & 5 that has made us elite. It's so easy to take one player out of a play defensively, nearly impossible to take out two.

I've been thinking about this since I posted the idea. I think I'd probably do it, broughs. Dame is a killer. And Hayward would be an excellent complement to his game. Dame would love Gobert backing him. Dame/Hood/Hay/Lyles is LOTS of space.

If you think the space-and-pace era is here for a while, then I think you do that trade.

I agree, though, Portland doesn't do it. That's probably not because the prize winnings aren't good enough (that's a pretty good haul); I just don't think he's touchable until/if they strikeout in Free Agency.

This is a good, well balanced post.

You are the worst poster ever.

Hey guis, wut do you think of my completely implausible trade idea that I don't support.

Hilarious. that's so weak. Grow some balls man. You have no right to talk trash to me when you be posting garbage like this.

You're toxic.

I don't think I'd do it because Lyles would just get destroyed on the defensive end.

That said, my initial two thoughts on this. Gobert and moreso, Exum, are overrated by this board.
I'd consider trading anyone.

Having said that, keep the core intact, get healthy, get pissed off this summer and work harder than they ever have in their lives, and win 57 games next year.

The window to get Lillard closed a long time ago. The time to load up on high potential talent has already passed us. We are pretty much all in on this team. I seriously doubt the organization has the cojones to make any big changes now.

If the Jazz were smart they would have traded AL and Millsap, and tanked, instead of chasing the 8th seed. We could have drafted Lillard ourselves that year because we would have kept our pick, AND most likely bumped GS past that 8th spot and we would have had that pick as well. It was a complete screw up the way they handled the situation then. It was obvious that this would happen. They half assed the tank job, and didn't get much out of it.

This is what you get when you have bad organization Philosophy.

If Corbin hadn't been such a dumb *** and instead of trying to win those games at the end of the season, we could've gotten the pick that was Lillard. I remember people talking about it, that we shouldn't be trying to win games to make the playoffs so we could get Lillard. That's what we get for hanging on to Corbin. But it's too late now.
