Not Much Going on here with the lockout and all, but holy cow, this thought crossed my mind and i could not help but begin to dream. I think we'd win 6 to 7 championships in 15 years if the whole team stayed together. And if we had Malone instead of Kanter, i bet we'd win 12 and thus eclipse What Bill Russeld Did when he won 11 in 13 years.

As long as we're dreaming, why limit to Stockton, or even Jazz players?
 
Imagine how good a 25 year old mailman would have been with Memo in his prime drawing defenses outside? Or Shaq when he was in his prime?

Imagine how good the Jazz would have been had they had MJ or Reggie Miller on their team during the 90's?
 
Imagine if you could get 3 of the most sought after FA's to play on the same team, two of them all-stars and the third regarded by many as the best player in the game today. There wouldn't even need to be a season; you could just award them the trophy every year. Oh, wait...

As for the OP, that would be awesome! Just keep in mind, a Stockton now means that he grew up in today's basketball culture. You think he'd be any worse or better than he was? The same goes for any player that says they'd wipe the floor with today's competition.

Those guys had to play harder cuz the game was more physical and had to push themselves more. You think MJ/Stockton/Magic/etc would've pushed themselves as much without all that elite competition and physicality?

I love that song. John Lennon was a talented fella. ;)

Maybe someone should suggest that the players and owners get together and sing this song. We are the world....oh wait. :)

.....if we could have ANY decent scoring center...we would have dominated! Someone like Pau Gasol would have been beautiful! We would have scored 120 points a game on about 60% shooting...without taking more than 8 three pointers a game!
