Kamala Harris for Pres

Trump has not shied away from injecting race squarely into politics. A quick Google search will return a plethora of examples that have been roundly criticized: He helped spread the conspiracy theory that Barack Obama wasn’t born in the United States, attacked the judge in the Trump University case as “Mexican,” and has consistently used epithets like “racist” against black prosecutors and lawyers in his civil and criminal trials that he doesn’t use against white lawyers. As president, he reportedly distinguished between immigrants from Northern Europe and those from “********” countries like Haiti and the countries of Africa.

Given the former president’s inclinations, Trump confidants and advisers are bracing for the candidate to ratchet up the rhetoric beyond what the campaign had planned and move from defensible criticisms of Harris’s record into open racial animus.

“Trump leads this campaign,” said one. “So we’re ready for him to call her a DEI hire by Biden, and we’ll see what we see when that happens.”

A tennessee republican has filed articles of impeachment against Kamala Harris which claims Harris covered up President Biden’s mental well-being, constituting a “breach of public trust.” While Biden ended his reelection campaign Monday, he has maintained that he will finish his term and is in good health.
“Kamala Devi Harris has knowingly misled the people of the United States and the Congress of the United States, principally to obfuscate the physical and cognitive well-being of the President of the United States, Joe Biden,” the filing reads.

Lol. Good luck with that waste of time and money.
It's not about the impeachment. Sure they'd love that to pass, but it's about the endless sound bites they will get out of it to taint the voting populace. Get it in their head that she's not just black and female but a deceiver, a jezebel if you will, and they sway more of the uninformed masses to their cause. That's the purpose.

He's a racist and everyone that supports him is a tacit if not explicit racist. It's his primary demographic.

March For Our Lives, the youth-led organization dedicated to ending gun violence following the 2018 Parkland, Florida, high school shooting, will be endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election -- the first time the organization has ever endorsed a political candidate, and an indicator of the mounting youth support for the vice president.

Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly have emerged as frontrunners for presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’ choice of vice president.
Both men are from key battleground states in the 2024 presidential race and have a history of defeating candidates endorsed by Donald Trump at the ballot box.

Some may see Shapiro as a good candidate for the ticket, as a fellow state attorney general. The 51-year-old is highly popular as the governor of Pennsylvania and enjoys the support of plenty of Republicans as well as Democrats.
In 2022, he beat the ultra-MAGA Doug Mastriano, whom Trump had endorsed.
In addition, when Trump sued Pennsylvania to challenge the 2020 election results, Shapiro beat him back in lawsuits.

US Senator Kelly is a 60-year-old former astronaut and Navy combat pilot. He won his seat in 2022, roundly defeating Republican challenger Blake Masters – another Trump-backed ultra-MAGA, who, like JD Vance, is a disciple of venture capitalist Peter Thiel.
The Senator is also a prolific fundraiser who would have little trouble bringing cash to the ticket with Harris. Picking Kelly may also signal that Democrats are serious about keeping the West in mind.

A border-state Democrat, Kelly could push back on criticisms from Republicans that Trump would be better at handling immigration.

As a veteran, he has taken up late Senator John McCain’s mantle as an ardent defender of Ukraine, which would contrast with Vance’s opposition to supporting the country against Putin’s aggression. However, his record in Arizona might lead Democrats to want to keep him in the Senate.

Both seem like pretty good choices

I think Kelly should have the edge here as he checks 2 boxes that appeal to the mass of voters, many in the middle, and those are 1) "old" white guy and 2) military background. Plus, as an added benefit, he isn't jewish so many of those racist middle of the road voters won't have to swallow yet another bitter pill to get themselves to vote against MAGA. The pull of the cult is very strong. Making them vote FOR A) Black, and B) female as president is hard enough, now add C) jewish in the VP and they are leaning hard-MAGA at that point.

I hate that this is where the dialog has gone, but it is absolutely on the minds of so many voters it is a travesty and sickening all at the same time. **** all those bigoted ****s.

It's funny cause one of the links I posted earlier that was talking about polls said it polled 800 people in Nevada and these were the results.

800 people? In a state with about 2 and a half million adults?
That makes the poll close to worthless imo.

That is not far off of most polls, which is why you have to take them all with a grain of salt, and then use many polls from different sources together to get anything like a real value. Especially on-line polls since you will tend to get the more die-hard voters who seek it out, to either vote for someone or against someone. It is tough to get a true cross-section of the population in a short period of time.

source: I worked for a public research company in college many many moons ago. To get a reasonable sample most surveys ran for weeks and weeks. Tough to get a varied and accurate poll in a single day, like most of these are doing. If they actually spoke to 800 people who were willing to talk politics on a random phone call they probably called at least 3-5x that number of people. A blitz poll. Still isn't very representative. It is more representative of the type of person who fits the demo they are looking for AND are willing to talk about it. Not very representative of the population as a whole really.

New voters will be critical. It will be interesting to see where they're trending in the polls.
