I'm pleased to see your desire to capitalize on this learning opportunity. Rule #1, don't poke your brother's eye out at the slightest mention of a current, former, or dead UK player.Nice one. Please educate me as to how jazzfanz should be handled, then. Ohhh, enlightened one.

You are easily distracted....SCOTT PADGETT!Incorrect. I spoke about Kaman. That, for whatever reason, got your panties in a wad. Perhaps you should consider changing your screenname to HeavenKaman.

Does anyone remember Boozer's Cleaveland days?
I see a bigger version of that hardworking, solid deffender Boozer who was doing all the little things and dirty jobs with great rebounding, strength and mid-range game in Kanter. Yes, Boozer became a lazy and just offensive-minded player after all but the main difference that Kanter has is his work ethic.
I don't know if he ever becomes an elit offensive force like Boozer(he has the potential), but Boozer's Cleaveland days occur my mind as a comparison for Kanter.
Not similar games, but I could see Kanter coming out with Kevin Love type numbers. They would get their 15 points in different ways, but both could easily average 15 and 15.
Agree. Love shoots out three point range and the offense is run through Love + he has Rubio to get him the ball in the perfect spots to give him easy scores. Don't think Kanter will ever be the #1 option in Ut, but you never know.Love is averaging 24 and 15 this year. Somehow I doubt Kanter ever scores more than 18ppg.
Boozer had alot more quickness, agility, and ability to finish at the rim. People look at him now or think of him against the Lakers' bigs, but from 2004-09 Boozer could elevate and finish at the rim against 85% of the league. He never was a great defender but in Cleveland it got masked by his offensive efficiency and his teammates who were poor defenders as well. In his 03-04 game against Utah (in which Boozer scored 34 pts in a Cleveland win) Boozer carried the Cavs offensively in the 4th-qtr and OT, but kept Utah in the game because he couldn't defend Kirilenko (in OT he gave up a 3pt to AK and then fouled him on another 3pt attempt).Does anyone remember Boozer's Cleaveland days?
That was never the case in Cleveland. He was rebounding well but never defended.

I think with Kanter maybe you're not getting someone with elite length or a superb ability to finish inside, but you're going to get a great rebounder, someone who's going to (and wants to which is important) play physical defense, and someone who could probably score 10 ppg just off putbacks and dishes from teammates. Everyone speculating on his game (myself included) but the kid is so young it really won't be until next season where we get any idea of his offensive potential after he's had an entire offseason w/knowledge of what he has to improve upon to compete in the NBA.
