Who would you take?*

Kanter was drafted 3rd, Vučević 16th in the same draft.

Vučević is a true seven footer, Kanter a true bull.

Per 36 minutes stats are similar, however Vučević is playing against starters.

Vučević takes a good edge in rebounding, but doesn't have to compete with 3 other excellent rebounders in Sap, Jefferson, & Favors. Big baby is his only team competition, with a 7.2 rpg average this season.

Kanter gets to the free throw line at a much better clip (3.5 vs. paltry 1.7) but is turnover prone (3.7 vs 1.7).

*The Jazz have not traded Kanter for Vučević.

I watched the draft combine with Vucic, I was really impressed. He was initially slated as late first by some adn 2nd by others.

Sad to say, but after a season and a half I still don't know about Kanter. He shows really well, then not so much. I wish I could see him get regular minutes.

Vucevic will be a very solid player. But he is such a stiff and so slow. Very limited on the defensive end due to his athletic ability.

Let Kanter start for the Magic (one of the worst teams in the NBA), he would easily average the numbers of Vucevic.

Kanter has better upside but Vucevic still will be a solid player.

It's funny that we have threads like these, and other threads where Jazzfanz proclaims Kanter as the most likely to become a superstar.

I created this thread on a Magic forum. Will be fun to see the differing opinions if they ModCo approve it.

I haven't seen much of Vučević, but Kanter being two years younger and the obligatory he lacked college playing time line should be enough to give him the advantage on any league-wide forum. Maybe someone can put this up on Real GM to see what the nation thinks. Pimphandstrong, MattHarpring, or Maneesh?

Vucevic has superior size and held up well against starters. Kanter is a superior athlete and appears to have more offensive talent. I still would have taken a chance on Kanter becoming a star instead of drafting a average starter.

The Magic are my 2nd team, and I would definitely take Kanter. I wouldn't even think about it.
