Kanter's agent think Cavs could draft him #1

Let's hope the workout goes well on Monday.

Kyrie Irving and Biyombo?.......yes please.

But don't let the Cavs get him at #4, Kanter and Jimmer/Klay Thompson will suffice.

Well, that could work out for us.
Rubio's "Decision Euro-style" on Friday could change the whole draft. If he hasn't reached a buy-out decision, Minny could very well stay put and take Irving. Then they trade Rubio's rights next season. That may leave the Jazz deciding between Williams and Knight. If DWill can play SF, you go with him. If not, the Jazz stick with Knight. Favors-Jefferson-DWill2-Hayward. That's a very good, young core. Harris holds the PG spot until he can be replaced. Fredette at #12 if he falls?

I'm still leaning towards Knight and Singelton. I think both those guys can be starters and with Favors, Jefferson, Hayward and Knight, you have three legit scorers, Favors who can get a double-double by just cleaning the glass, and then Singleton to play shut-down defense, with no pressure to be a scorer.

I gotta think they are more looking at him at 4. If they do take him, good. I would love a draft of Dwill2 and the Jimmer/Biyombo....If we dont get a PG, Im not stressing really. Harris is better than average and that is all it takes to win in the league.

It was reported on espn that Rubio is holding a press conference to announce he has signed with min. today I believe.

A buy out isn't a concern at this poin.

everyones agent think the same. Irving will go number 1 for sure. I just cant presee whom will minnesota take, Enes or Derrick. I dont think they wanna give up Beasley so that leaves one chance, they draft Enes and trade him to a team which is interested in him. Maybe cleveland, washington..

Not if The Jazz don't start putting out some serious signals that they're drafting him.

This is EXACTLY why I thought the FO would be leaking rumors about our sure-fire desire for Enes. Perhaps they are sure the other FOs would be confident that such a leak, if too early, would be disingenuous, and we may see such development this week. I think our hand is significantly strengthened if people think we're after Enes.

Undoubtedly. I hope you're right about the timing issue.

If Cleveland takes Irving #1 and DWill goes #2 to Minny, the Jazz should take Kanter. Cleveland then has no choice but to take Knight and swap picks with us. Our fee? Their second round pick.

No question. If the Cavs really want Kanter, make them sweat and possibly shake up the top 2. It's a great way for Irving or Williams to possibly slide to us.

Man I love this year's draft.....not for talent, but for the sheer fact that no one knows what's going to happen.

Kanter is the only possible big man that Cleveland could pair with Irving? Wow. We really do have them right where we want them. I say we force them to give us Irving for Kanter. Assuming they don't notice the gap in logic we'll be golden!

Wait...what? That's like saying, if you want this Rolex, you have to give me a coupon for a free whopper. No thanks, Kanter is a top 3 pick, if you move up just one spot, it's not worth a 2nd rounder.

It depends on the personnel and team in question. If Cleveland is dead-set on getting Kanter (and they should, IMO), the Jazz have to find a way to get something out of their positioning if Kanter isn't their first-choice of those available. At the very least, leak the interest in hopes that it might raise Kanter's stock generally and have bidders. Worst-case scenario, you draft a kid with a lot of promise. Leaking that you're high on the kid that won't be drafted at 4 doesn't necessarily do you any favors.
