What's new

kirilenko is available, maybe boozer also

Only problem is that he's not a stretch-4. You want a guy that can actually SHOOT from 15-ft out. Sorry, I'd rather have Millsap back for what AK will make. Kirilenko must have a long-term deal in place if he's opting out. That, or he's heading home to the Motherland.

So would I. But I doubt we get Millsap for what AK will make, my guess is he'll command more. And there's a give and take there. Millsap is the better mid-range shooter - you'll never run the pick-and-pop for Andrei - but Andrei gives you a better defensive presence. Frankly, I'd be happy with either/both of them back (assuming they're both okay coming off of the bench).

We are soooo beyond Boozer and AK. I wouldn't want a single minute wasted on either of them while Kanter, Favors, or Hayward sit on the bench. Heck, I'd rather watch Gobert play than see a rehash of Boozer or AK.

Best part of that article is after his complaints about Boozer's disappointing terribleness, he suggests Al Jefferson as suitable and desirable upgrade / replacement

Why would Kirilenko opt out? Does he really think he can get more than $10 Mil a year somewhere else? Or does he want to play on a contending team?

He's probably looking for a multi-year deal. A four year $30 million deal might be better for him at this point in his career than a 1 year $10 million one.

At the right price... who wouldn't want AK to retire with our our organization.

He's good for the locker room, and he's always for the TEAM.

He's the best passer our team has seen since Stockton left and he'll be a more than adequate backup forward who will get our young bigs easy baskets.

"The Bulls thought they were getting a 20-and-10 center"? Seriously?

The upside of being a small market utterly ignored by the NBA marketing machine (aka ESPN) is that we can sell our players for more than they're worth, with their value based purely on their inflated box scores, because no one has actually seen them play.
