What's new

Kristen Kenney is our new sideline reporter :)

I also wish there were more women in sports that occupied roles outside of just "good-looking sideline reporter".

Well now the Jazz have 1 visible female staff that speaks. Hopefully it won't be 30 years before that number is 2.

Yeah, San Antonio has a female assistant. I agree that they should highlight Gail Miller more. She might be the one making that call, though. I think she prefers to stay in the background.

I'm sure it is her decision. She's in charge. I just wish it was more clear to the public that she was. I'm sure that from the inside the fact that the owner is a woman makes the JAZZ org. feel much more like women are involved and important than it appears on the outside. I would love to be watching a Jazz game and see Gail courtside. When my daughter asks me who that lady is I can tell her "that's Gordon Hayward's boss".

Maybe she should sleep with a hooker and make racist comments. That should garner plenty of publicity.

Huh? She sits courtside at virtually every home game.

I can remember maybe twice last year that they even put the camera on her and I don't remember them ever highlighting her at all. It's not a big deal and it's totally her decision. I am not criticizing her. I was simply saying that it would be cool if she were more visible.

I wish that they would highlight Gail Miller-The owner of the Utah Jazz every chance they get to.

I wonder if there are any noobs on this site that don't even know who Gail is. Larry was so high profile, but she stays so in the background.

I hear you, but if you know where she sits you can point her out to your daughter because the back of her head is on camera a lot (almost straight across from the opposing teams bench). And I think it's admirable that she doesn't put the spotlight on herself.

Two words: Spud freaking Webb
He was a giant compared to this guy. The NBA bias against midget Muslims sickens me.

I am glad that when I watch a game with my daughter there will be a woman involved in the broadcast. When we go to a game the only women there that are highlighted are dancers. I understand that there is WNBA and the Utes but that's not a good reason for the JAZZ to have a complete lack of role models for young women.

There's also the Australian woman that does commercial break stuff
