'Member how ****ing sick the glitches were in GTA:SA? Then GTA IV sucks ***, and now LA Noire lets you play with it like a 12 year old at his first ward dance.

The good news is that Rock star didn't make this game. I like it, but its not one of those games I beat in 4 days like Red Dead because it is so good.

I have that cheap dinky game pass from blockbuster (their selection is pathetic, but it seems to beat waiting for gamefly) so I rented it. Homocide desk is horrendous. ****ing right, you are. Boring and predictable. Thought this was suppose to own something fierce. I'm tired of R* games.

In before, "Guess you guys were expecting your precious GTA. This is not that type of game! It's much more sophisticated...blah..blah..blah." Gah, I hate neckbeards that spew **** like that.

I enjoy slowed down games that make you think and have a good, deep storyline. In face I prefer those to your senseless shooters. But this game in not that, and has no substance.

The core of the game, the cases, don't vary enough. This is how they go down: Gather clues (after searching countless useless items like bottles, cups, etc, every single time!) , use the uninspired interrogation system, have you believe the suspect is one person, than suddenly NOPE! Not them! Had you fooled!! Awesome plot twists ftw!1!!! Chase the real suspect. Rinse and repeat. What you're left with is a repetitive, psuedo-depth/sophisticated game.

I'd also like to add the gang fight massacres that you participate in as a detective are retarded.

Don't be fooled by the hype. It's your typical, boring, uninspired game. Try Heavy Rain instead.

Heavy Rain was crazy. Definitely my kind of game. LAN isn't bad, I just like sandbox games that you can glitch the **** out of.
 
The game is pretty good. I suspect I'm getting more out of it than most because I've seen a lot of 1940's era noir films. There are many very explicit references if you know what you're looking for.

I agree. I've only taken one film class and noticed a lot of stuff in the game I probably wouldn't have otherwise. I also like that it is a bit difficult to get good scores on cases. More challenging than Rockstar games of the past.
 
Stick with mine sweep, mahjong and Solitaire. :cool:

NCAA football, FIFA and COD/BlackOps are the only games that I can play for more than an hour at a time. I tried Mass effect, dead space Assassin's Creed and many others but they all put me to sleep after a few hours.

This is probably a very good argument against the game's entertainment value. I feel like I'm just watching every fudging noire/40's gangster/California-before-the-law-caught-up-to-it movie instead of truly creative puzzles to solve.
