Anyone watch Adam Ruins Everything? This weeks episode is very apt for this discussion. Its Adam ruins Conspiracies.
The show in general is pretty good and has some good info this one just nails this thread and a couple other current GD threads on this board well.

Love that show. Haven't seen that episode. I liked the Adam Ruins Adam Ruins Everything where they set straight instances where they got it wrong, even with cited sources. I do think there is some spin there and they do push it decidedly left in some episodes, but for the most part it is pretty clear and unbiased and the sources are generally solid.

Have you bothered to look at any of their sources? I have. I looked up almost all of them, then google counter points, for several of their episodes and found them to be reasonable sources. I acknowledged they have spin during the show and use the sources to build a story that fits a largely leftist agenda, but that doesn't negate the majority of the facts they present, and even the spin isn't anything crazy. Dude you really need to dig a little deeper than your outrage and think through some of this.

I like the part where people absolutely deny experts and act like what they say is pure ****. Apparently, they have superior backgrounds and experience.
I like the part where people don't understand what an expert is and act like what anyone with a credential claims is purely true. They obviously have superior backgrounds and experience, even if that includes getting a degree in engineering with a specialty in trash management and have been shown by the scientific community to be completely wrong on many occassions, including falsifying thermate tests and the easily discredited molten aluminum color change can't be created by jet fuel and fire claim. But they know more than you and I will continue to appeal to authority.

Yeah, I like it. I don't always agree with their conclusions or interpretations but they give good info and they source everything well. That's the important part to me, you can look it all up and see where the info came from.
This week the took a few shots at both sides and make fun of liberals Russian conspiracy fears.

The same could very well be said for the conspiracy believers. They are ignoring the experts that conducted the initial investigations, and the many experts that have spoken out supporting it. Which side ignoring which experts is right?
