Its sad that he gets so many minutes. You read anything about the Jazz that isn't local media and its clear to everyone but Corbin that Jefferson makes his teammates worse by his stagnant offense and absolutely terrible defense. Scoring 18PPG is nice but giving up as much as he does on defense is turrible

Ouch.

To be fair, Jefferson didn't play v. Charlotte, and Millsap didn't play v. NY (or Charlotte).

Enes has been playing well, of course, but he's gotten a lot of minutes in garbage time (v. NY, OKC) and against the Bobcats (44 minutes).

True but that is still no excuse for a -144. Outrageous. Kanters numbers are inflated by that to some degree. These numbers just reinforce what we already knew. That our starting 5 get abused.

Kanter is going to be a beast in 4 to 5 years. He will be 3/4's Boozer and 1/4th Dirk. Better than Boozer of course, but a similar game.

The best part?
Favors and Milsap share more minutes with Al than Kanter does. If Favors and Milsap's +/- excluded Al's minutes, then they'd be pluses for sure.

Al would be more efficient with a better outside shooter backcourt lightening the weigh on his shoulders. How many airballs did the Jazz threw in the OKC game one after another?

That argument holds no weight. Three point percentages are as follows. They just aren't getting the looks because Al can't get deep post position and draw enough doubles.

Mo: 38.9%
Foye: 40.2%
Hayward: 39.7%
Burks: 35.8%
Marvin: 34.3%

This is what is so sad about this team. We have very good outside shooters. We have very good defenders. We have very good slashers. We have top 10 picks.

Yet, we build around Al, who wrecks everything.
