Whole show, I'm waiting on a new DVD, the gig i was at in Brisbane was being professionally recorded.

 
Two things about this guitar solo (starts at about 4:45 and goes for 6 minutes) by one of the greatest of all time:

1. I love how it plays. He does it normal, extending the main theme, then slows it WAY down, shows you what he's going to do, and then speeds it back up to a race. There's a story just in that solo, is what I'm saying.
2. Watch his face. I think he's probably on the autism spectrum.

What happened to Mark Knopfler? Is he in witness protection or something?

I remember seeing them on the Transatlanticism tour, they played a tiny 300 person bandroom in Northcote, next time I saw them on the Plans tour it was in an intimate 4000 person venue....
 


gave up tickets to these guys Friday night (I've seen them about 20 times) to watch this woman.

I went thru this the other day, too. I look at it like, sometimes I just need to dive down deep into it some that when I turn my wings I can soar even higher. Or some **** like that.

About 15 or 20 years ago, I read an article (maybe in City Weekly) about MC Frontalot, the leading nerdcore rapper. It turns out I read the article just days after he played a concert in SLC. My wife and I because a big fan of his, and then of the whole nerdcore genre.

Finally, I just found out this week, he is going to be playing at a club in Portland, along with our other favorite nerdcore-r, Schaffer the Darklord.

(These are the first songs I heard from either of them, as well as a newer track they did together.)
