Yeah, but that song is actually good. My ears bleed when Nickelback comes on and I hate that I like that song. It makes me want to drink and break **** and dance with my kids.

@franklin... This will probably the most absurd translation of a song ever, but there are reasons for it, it's not written with the most sensible words in Turkish either, it has lots of references, verbal bullyings to the other rappers, my Engineering English, my lack of rap music knowledge etc.

I tried to translate the essence of the song first, but it was way harder than literal translating, so I went for the latter. But at least I tried not to make a "mot a mot" translation.

Anyway here is the song Holocaust, and its literal, absurd translation by me, verse by verse, If you don't find it sensible, don't worry, I still didn't get it either :)

LOL It's funny how many people despise Nickelback. While I've never felt they were great I've never understood the sheer hatred towards them. They have a handful of songs that are decent and I can think of a lot worse bands out there that are very popular. Anyway, like *Franklin said, that particular song just seems to grab you from the get go and gets your blood pumping. Heard it on the radio yesterday and thought, "Hey, this isn't bad."

I bought Nickelback's first album as soon as it became available three months after hearing Breathe for the first time on KBER's Bear Fights. They lost to some random Metallica song, just like everything else.

After that album they went Walmart with every single song and deserve all the hate for doing so. But that song kicks ***, just like Porn Star Dancing by My Darkest Days, which is produced by Kroeger as anyone would guess by its sound. Who listens to that song and doesn't immediately think it has Kroeger's manufactured music signature on it? But Kroeger struck gold again and that song kicks *** too, but the reason it's successful is the same reason we hate Nickelback so much.
 
Ahh man! You just took me back to my lab days where scouring iTunes for underground stuff to load on the Pod was my only sanity. Totally forgot about Brother Ali, and never would have guessed he was a white dude down to the eyebrows.
