The best thing that could ever happen to 'punk music' would be a mass suicide of any/all people associated with it. Next to 'grunge' and 'ska', it's the worst genre of music ever invented.

God without punk, music would be so terrible today. I mean before Jonny Rotten was toaring the boards, people thought Phil Collins was edgy.
