I saw her in the We came so far for love documentary about Leonard Cohen, went to the record store the next day to buy albums.
That Lou Reed/Antony song, specifically Lou made me think of Johnny Cash's Hurt album.
The American song book albums are great, there's a great story about Rick Rubin who produced them calling Nick Cave and saying "Nick, its Rick Rubin I'm working with Johnny Cash he wants to cover the Mercy Seat is that ok?"
Nick said, I paused to not sound too eager and said "yeah that's ok"
and Rick Rubin says "yeah i thought it would be all right."
Was that from the score of a Blaxploitation film? Its great, Tarantino could get like 3 films off that song alone.
That ending moved me... literally.
Right? The length of the video kind of confused me, because he's not really known for short punk tracks.
