I think the two of us generally agree on civil liberties (I don't imagine you're a supporter of the Prison Industrial Complex or the War on Drug Users). I just find it hard to believe that anyone could reach the conclusion that protected rights are decreasing over time (not that that's exactly what you've stated...it's hard to slog through the mud and get to your point sometimes).

I wasn't being clear. I was comparing those who seem to think that they're entitled to anything in this life to teenage girls. Stomping your feet and demanding the world to revolve around you and your narrow world view doesn't accomplish anything (the comment was for gameface though, not you...I recognize that we've both been dealing in some heavy reductionist arguments).

yah. . . . I was laughing "with" you on this one. And revising my post you're quoting, enlarging it a bit in a way that should, for most males capable of laughter, which might leave One Brow out of the loop, convey at least the impression that we're doing a male humor thing here. . . . .might still be "male idiocy" but what the hay, if you've got it, flaunt it.

I need more exposure to what's on TV, apparently. I'd never heard of Sheldon Cooper until now. Yah, all you need to say in your class to make that grade is "Big Bang". . . . not that kids really know what that is. . . . . lol
