I agree but he showed aggressiveness and it was his specialty coming into the NBA. At some point he stopped caring and focused only on offense. That was fine when he was our only offensive weapon and we needed him rested on that end. But now he has plenty of help. He needs to get back to working hard on that end and not gambling. We just need him to put in effort on that end. I think he thinks he can just start doing that in the playoffs. Last year in the playoffs he tried to step up on defense to get stops and he didnt always but it still goes a long ways.

I actually think we eek out a win here if conley played. Even though joe ingles did a terrific job taking his minutes, we lacked the calm confidence that Conley brings. He doesn’t get rattled.
Also I love D Mitch but he needs to put in work on the defensive end..and Bogey sigh...umm...
what can you say at this point? He shouldn’t be starting. I think we are a better team with Ingles in the starting lineup no question. Snyder, break it to him gently. It’s time.

His defense has to improve. Bogey and JC can't be that poor on both ends. Rudy can't be average at rebounding and defense when he is so limited on offense.
This team needs another Royce in a bad way. We need another guy focused on defending even if the defense is just above average. Play Oni 12 minutes every night. Put him on other team's best player.

I hate being a Debbie downer but I have lost a lot of faith in this team as far as being a contender. Teams go through slumps but I think this is more of a product of teams exposing our blatant weaknesses than a slump. There's still some hope but for me personally, the way we've been playing, showing up uninterested is extremely concerning and frustrating.
Bogey is 30 with a dad bod (by NBA standards).
Mitchell is a super athlete with a huge wingspan.
I had a dream Rudy hit a stepback 15 footer to win this game that felt so real I had to double check the score only to be smacked in the face by reality.
I wonder if Quin even criticizes Don's defense. It often feels like he's freelancing out there without any discipline because he knows he's never going to come out of the game based on his defense.

Forget about Bogey’s slump and apparent inability to hit the open three, if Gobert hits his normal % from the line and Clarkson hits his normal % from field, we win this game. Drew Gooden and his broadcast mate did both agree that it was the best game of the season from the Wizards as well.

How much of this was determined by our lack of defensive pressure is what concerns me. When every team has their best night against you it's not hard to figure out the common denominator.
