Marijuana: Facts, Myths, and plain old Stupidity.

If you are able to make adjustments to make driving safe, then it is not impairing your driving (or making it more dangerous- which is what the debate was originally about).
I'd be interested to hear about some of these adjustments.

Slowing down is not an adjustment?

If you're serious about debating this, please read the studies that have already been posted. Some of them actually discuss the fact that marijuana users tend to make adjustments to their driving which keeps it safe.

If you think driving after smoking weed is dangerous enough to be illegal, I'd love to hear why. With some actual evidence, if possible. Someone who has probably never smoked weed in his life and has no idea how it actually makes you feel is probably not qualified to give an educated guess with no evidence to back it up. There are actual studies on the matter posted in this thread for you to read if you are really interested though.

No, I actually think texting while driving is much worse than driving while high on pot. Conan agreeing that potheads make adjustments in order to prevent marijuana from making driving dangerous is case closed, as he admits. It's just case closed on the other side of the argument.

Did you miss where I said "slowing down" while texting? How is that different than slowing down while on marijuana? By your reasoning, the texter who slows down is making adjustments to make their driving safe.

Totally false. A texter is probably looking at his phone, not the road, and doesn't have his hands on the wheel (at least not both). Someone who smoked some weed is probably focusing intently on the road, with hands on the wheel.
