Mario Hezonja - perfect fit?

The other point in picking up cheap undervalued players is they can become good trade assets which can become good bargaining chips for trades in the future. Which is more realistic than signing a star imo.

I've always maintained that the best way for the Jazz to get that third piece is via trade. Lindsey has a shot at the deadline with the expiring contracts of Burks and whichever of the options he picks up on the "NG" guys. Dare I say Allen and the 2019 pick could also be assets? I have little hope anyone would want Bradley. I think Lindsey got a bust with Bradley. He just looks too slow and plays a foot below the rim.

Who would you guy's rather have, Hezonja or Bjelica? I think I'd rather go after Hezonja, he's younger and can play two positions. On the other hand Bjelica has been a much better 3 point shooter. Which one would you rather use the MLE on?
Bjelica. Jazz have a lot of players at the 2/3. They need a true 4 who can stretch the floor.

I’d much rather have Hezonja. Upside and age are both better fits. Plus, the Jazz only have to sell Mario on coming. They don’t have to craft an offer sheet that overpays or gets matched.

Chase PG13. Donovan hopefully gets us a meeting with him.

Failing that, keep Favors and Exum and go get Hezonja. Craft deals that leave future cap space available. That’s a solid offseason IMO.

Hezonja has thunder in his dunks and an effortless 3 pt stroke.I would take Hezonja easily over Bjelicka because he's more athletic and younger. His timeline fits DM,Gobert and Exum

Last year Hezonja was healthy ,the year before he had knee irritations and it was a big reason he shined when he finally got minutes .Most of his minutes at the beginning were for Aaron Gordon who was hurt a lot.So he played point PF.When AG got back he played SF and SG. If you seen him burying long 3's and hammering big dunks last year you'd know why he'd be good on the Jazz team.

Let’s get some boss players. What’s this timeline ish? 2nd round of playoffs two years in a row. The timeline is now and eternal.

Pass. Unless it’s a minimum deal.

I am fairly sure I’d only offer a one year deal with a team option to anyone we sign using the MLE... we want max FA money... go bargain hunting this FA period there is no money out there... go find a home run.

Sounds like you are in favor of Signing Hezonja.

Bargain - check
Home Run - check

I REALLY want Herzonia. I think the wasteland of Orlando has really been a detriment to his overall value. He has the skills and physical attributes to be everything Snyder and hte staff need to mold into a very productive player. He has the athleticism and size to be a good defender if he is in the right system.

I don't know if signing Herzonia means we cannot go after Favs or not. But if I could only have one of the two, I would pick Herzonia, just from his flexibility, spacing the floor, age, physical athleticism, and his best ball still being ahead of him.
