Massive Shooting in Aurora (CO) Theater

thats why training under stress would help.
by training under stressfull conditions, when those conditions arise you get to preform in stressful/dark/loud situations.
you'd be panic, but come trigger time your body would stabilize for the spilt secnonds when you pull the trigger

I agree.

But who would go through that kind of training? Who has that kind of time and money?

I'm guessing that the folks who have any type of gun training would already be in the military or police.

I fully agree that some form of training should be mandatory for CC. You have to show that you understand how to work your weapon and good decision making under duress. Utah does not require any shooting to get your CC. That is why some states do not accept the Utah CC...

Classes are out there for those that want them. Also if it became a requirement and the demand arose a supply would crop up.

Ah. Big surprise. Looks like he's going for the insanity plea.

People who own assault rifles, what do you use them for? Just at the range? or obliterating bunnies? Is there really a practical use for an assault rifle? I'm not saying we should automatically ban them. I just want to know.

I have shot them and I want an AR-15. I find them fun to shoot and it would be a recreational thing for me.

Assault rifle is a pretty generic term-

A better description would a semi-automatic rifle with high capacity magazine (20+ rounds).

The 'assault' rifle shown in movies are fully automatic weapons which are highly restricted for civilian ownership.

Most people I know use these rifles to hunt varmits, feral hogs and at the range.

I know next to nothing about guns. Excuse my ignorance. Thanks for answering.
