This was back when he and everybody else was saying he's going to play.

Either he had a setback or our medical staff is beyond incompetent. The latter explanation is starting to make sense considering they all thought it was a minor injury 6 weeks ago.
 
A broken ankle heals in 6 weeks. At least mine do. Wonder what kind of ankle sprain he really has.

My guess is the decision came from coaching staff and the front office. DM wants to play.

Yeah, maybe the Jazz are playing stupid games again.

I can see it being a thing where if the Jazz win game 1, he'll sit game 2. If they lose game 1, he'll play game 2.
 
Donovan said this week that the injury had been worse than reported. I don't believe they would hold him out if he was ready to go. They'd restrict his minutes, but not hold him out completely.

I’m fine holding him out. I know you don’t want to overlook your opponent, but we have a bit of room and we next play on Wednesday. If we can win one or two without him, let him get more recovered for later.
 
We need a healthy DM, but Griz aren’t going quietly.

Need big games again from everyone.
