Since all the other major winter holidays are past, I thought I may as well wish everyone a happy "next" holiday.

Merry Christmas everyone. It is hard to believe another year has flown by. One of my kids graduated from high school this year. Next year (in February actually) is my 20th anniversary. Wow.


So whether you celebrate Christmas or not, enjoy whatever winter solstice festivities you may or may not engage in.

Ditto on the snow. We haven't had a single flake hit the ground so far. Even at Tahoe the snow pack is very low, and a few resorts may not open at all for the season. Weird.

Well, Santa's on his way! See you all after the holiday.

My four year old is crying right now because he doesn't want Santa to come until there is snow. Kids are crazy. What kid doesn't want Christmas presents? It's probably a good thing the festival means more than the stuff... but he's trying to stay awake because he knows Santa won't come if he's isn't asleep.

I want to go fishing at 6 in the morning but that's probably not going to happen now.
