What's new

Merry Christmas!

You just don't have someone that can get you just the right thing... but that is rare to find. The odds of somebody getting me something I really want is pretty slim, but I make an effort to be grateful for any attempt at thoughtfulness is put into the gift selection. That is what is important to me, how well they know me and the effort/thought.

I am with you though on the random crap people that don't really know me give me. I'd rather not get it for the time I waste either returning it, trashing it, or storing it when I know they don't know me at all and didn't put any thought into it.
Just to be clear, I'm expressing my frustrations here, but I was raised with enough manners not to be a jerk to someone who buys me a gift.

But I do have someone who can buy me just what I want... Me. I buy myself some real nice stuff.

Sorry colton. I'll keep my negativity and complaints out of your Happy Christmas thread.

Well timed bumperz...

Merry Christmas, happy holidays and Happy New Year to all the Jazzfanz homies wide and far. I hope you are spending it well. Be safe!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Isaiah 53: 3-6

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

I'm not a very religious man but I truly enjoy Colton's posts this time of year. Many of us (most of us?) talk the talk but do we truly walk the walk. That's a very broad sentiment but I think my point is clear. Colton, you seem to be a dude who truly cares about and then lives that life. God bless you, my friend.

Most would probably find this hard to believe but I'd probably really hit it off and love to talk to Colton irl. The topic of religion and God has always fascinated me and I could talk for hours on the subject.
