What does it matter if Favors gets the same amount of minutes or more?
What matters to me is that it indicated the head coach either made a bad choice for the starting lineups to begin the season OR he cannot stick to the decision that he made.

I've been consistent on 2 things with regards to lineup since the lockout ended. This is what I don't get. Corbin is getting killed by sticking with lineups during the game, but is getting killed for changing the lineup.
Stop using the lineup as an excuse to complain. Just say, "Don't play Bell, Harris, or Jefferson" and be done with it. Or if you're actually going to tear into the coach, tear into him for not getting his team to play hard or try to execute properly.
I'd like to see it, too. The problem there is that Ty still seems committed to getting minutes for Bell and CJ, which means Hayward almost has to play the 3 (if he's going to get significant minutes). Why can't we just try out what was discussed all Summer long? Run with Millsap at the 3 while keeping Al Jeff and Favors starting as well?
Edit: Just saw some of the posts and looks like that's been brought up, but it does need to happen!

Well, for starters I think it's a big red flag that our head coach had all offseason to ponder what he'd like to do with the combo of Favors and Sap and once he made the decision he was only able to stick with it for 2 games. Not only that, but even if Favors gets the same amount of minutes, he still probably sees this as a demotion after only getting 2 games to prove himself as a starter. This makes it more likely that Favors starts playing with one eye towards the bench because he's afraid that his next foul/mistake will get him yanked out of the game or cause him to lose even more minutes.
That is not how you develop young talent. Period. If Ty was this wishy-washy about who was going to start at the 4, he would have been better served to keep Milsap as the starter and told Favors that he would have to play his way into the starting lineup as opposed to naming a 20 year old the starter and then yanking the rug out from under him with the season only 96 minutes old.
Not trying to offend here, but saying that this move may not matter if Favors ends up getting the same amount of minutes is really dumbing down the situation. There's quite a bit of ramifications to consider with this move. Most importantly IMO: At this point, I have to question whether or not we have a head coach with the stones necessary to make a decision and stand by it.
Favors has no range and can't spread the floor. Millsap has great range, possibly out to the 3 point line this year. You can't win in this league without good floor spacing.
Doesn't that sound like a small forward to you?
How has Millsap been an improvement over Favors? Millsap comes in and the opponents PF goes off and the Jazz lose touch with the other team. Favors is superior defensively. I actually agree that Jefferson is the problem though.Good.
Favors hasn't just been underwhelming, he's been bad. I don't know why so many people seem to be opposed to someone earning something. Millsap's been the only guy on the team that's showed up.
If Favors really has what it takes to be the guy, then this will help him.

Well what do you know.... the Jazz look a lot better and win with Paul Millsap and Favors starting
So would I, normally, although I was at the game (in the cumulus section), and Bell didn't seem to do much, but it seemed like his man didn't score much. Howard and CJ each coming in were better in some ways and worse than others. But net net, Bell seems to continue to not warrant the PT that he's getting, and Burks should get some of Bell's.I'd also like to echo WTF on Bell continuing to start.
