Minny & Cavs 2025 picks watch thread

Warriors, Clippers and Grizzlies all win too. 4-way tie for 4-7 (with LAL one game ahead) a single game ahead of Wolves. Must be almost historically close.

I haven’t been paying much attention to standings outside the very bottom but I don’t believe I’ve ever seen so little separation between the third and eighth seeds. They’re separated by 2 games.

OK, I just looked it up and Minnesota owns the tiebreakers with DEN and LAC, but not with LAL, GSW, or MEM. Right now they are tied for losses with GSW, 1 more loss than MEM, LAC, and DEN, and 2 more losses than LAL.

Remaining games against each other:

MIN @ MEM, MEM @ DEN, LAC @GSW,

If Memphis wins tonight then they could still lose to Denver and be ahead of Minnesota. It would also mean that GSW could lose to LAC and still be ahead.

If Minnesota wins tonight, then they most likely finish at least 7th or better since the loser of MEM/DEN would finish below them (Unless we can beat MIN in our last game).

Basically the game tonight is really important for our Minnesota pick.

Isn't it even more complicated than this? I think the tiebreaker for draft position is not the same as tiebreakers for playoff position. So, if I'm understanding right, playoffs seeds are determined within this last week of the season and the play-in game. But any remaining ties in record (regardless of who was seeded higher for the playoffs) are determined for the draft at some later time.

Ties for draft positions are determined by coin flips. Right now, I just want to see MIN as the 8th seed or at worst the 7th seed so that there is a chance they lose in the play in and get in the lottery.

Yeah, I understand that we want the Wolves in the play-in. Even though it probably won't matter, it's at least a ray of hope.

Anything can happen in one game. Get them to the play-in and that's about all we can ask at this point. Having to rely on the Grizz sucks tho. They don't suck but I don't trust them at all.

Is JJJ healthy?

That first half was amazing. So fun to watch.
Elite offensive performance and the defense wasn't even bad the offense was just too good
