Thing is he wasn’t really innefficient. He was 3/6 and making mostly good passes to open players that just weren’t finishing in the 1st half, and was active defensively with 4 steals. After he got subbed out quickly in the third, the subsequent unit got hot. Quin rode them longer than he should have, the rockets adjusted, started hitting the open shots they were missing earlier and won easily. I think it’s a mix of a strategy not working out for quin, the rockets implementing a plan for DM and our team/DM not knowing how to counter it, and maybe some issues physically or behaviorally with DM that are not apparent — he definetly didn’t do anything obvious to get 6 second half minutes.

Lol, I'd have like to see Mitchell play as well. But I trust Snyder and you should to as he has clearly hitched the team's wagon to him. It was simply an off night. It happens. Nothing more, nothing less.

If I was the coach I'd have played him more. But I see no need to demand answers, compare Snyder to Corbin and other lawl worthy things.
 
Lmfao, I think Tony Jones has more stones than he is being given credit for. Don't have a real feel for Woodyard yet. Locke...yeah but the guy provides tons of insight.

What else is the press really even involved with besides providing insight to things that aren’t apparent to the public? That’s their job, to demand answers to the happenings behind the scenes. But when the team owns the media, they can control perception. Anchorman 2, as disappointing as it was, explains this oh so well.

I’m not blaming quin, he has his reasons I’m sure. It’d be nice to have some insight instead of relying on blind trust of character or reputation though. We’ve been left in the dark way too many times whether with injuries, decisions, roster efforts or whatever else. Some transparency can go a long way.

We already know the franchise isn’t one to spill the beans about anything on their own, that’s the media’s job to coax out. Our local media asks the same questions night in and out to the point where reading nearly any article is pointless fluff.
 
Pretty lame. Mitchell should lead the team in minutes every night imo.
 
I DRV'd the game and only watched bits and pieces of the 1st, 3rd, and 4th quarter.

My most distinct memory of Mitchell is him botching a 2 on 1 fast break and then the Rockets coming down and hitting a 3. I can't remember if it was in the 3rd quarter or 4th quarter. The Jazz called a time out shortly after that and the camera went on a visibly disgusted Mitchell who throws his fist in anger and drops an F-Bomb.

It's the first time I'd seen that reaction from Mitchell. It seemed like an over reaction to the one play and I assume something else had happened in the game that added to the frustration (probably the fact that he was playing James Harden).

That being said. I love his fire. When Hayward got upset his posture change, he shrugged his shoulders, clapped his hands, and rolled his head back in frustration. I think Mitchell has all the tools to be great. He just needs to develop the attitude where you go out and eat souls. I think he is well on his way (but I expect it to take a few years and maybe one or two difficult playoff exits.)

Rudy and Donovan eating souls would be fun basketball for me to watch. I’d love to see this team embrace the idea of becoming that defensive masterpiece that they were after the Kanter trade. Start with Rudy, Donovan, Hood and Exum. Build around that.

Jazz have proven that they can go out and get decent players in both the draft (Gobert, Hayward, Mitchell, Hood and Neto) and free agency (Joe Jesus, Thabo, Jerebko, Booker and Udoh).
